A Legacy of Soil, Worms & a Grandmother’s Wisdom
Hello and welcome! I’m Brenda, the founder and hands-on worm farmer behind WiggleWorks Worm Castings - a small, woman-owned business rooted in the rolling countryside of Verona, Missouri.
I’m a great-grandmother and proud to be doing something I love every day: raising European Nightcrawlers for local fishermen and Red Wigglers for vermicomposting. And, turning their castings into rich, living soil food for gardeners like you.
But really, this journey began many years ago…
From Worms to Wisdom
As a child, I spent long summer days fishing with my grandmother, who always had a warm smile, a bucket of worms ready to go fishing, and the best garden I’d ever seen. She taught me to appreciate the simple things - like freshly turned soil, homegrown tomatoes, and the quiet joy of watching something grow.
Those memories stuck with me. Years later, I decided to start a worm farm - first to supply bait worms to bait shops and fishing guides around Table Rock Lake. But as I cared for these amazing creatures, I realized something just as valuable as the worms themselves: the castings they left behind.
What came out of those worm bins was nature’s most powerful soil amendment - dark, crumbly, and absolutely teeming with microbial life. I knew that I wanted to share the worm castings with gardeners everywhere.
All the castings I sell are produced on my worm farm, carefully screened, and packaged with care in resealable bags - perfect for gardens, raised beds, houseplants, and more.
Whether you’re growing tomatoes, tending herbs on your porch, or feeding your soil for the next season, WiggleWorks Worm Castings are here to help you do it naturally.
A Worm Farmer with a Gardener’s Heart
At WiggleWorks, this isn’t just about selling a product. It’s about keeping a tradition alive. It’s about building better soil, growing healthy food, and sharing the joy of gardening - just like my grandmother shared with me.
Thank you for visiting my site and supporting this dream. I hope these castings bring as much joy and abundance to your garden as they do to mine.
Warmly,
Brenda Rees

At WiggleWorks, the magic begins with two incredible species of composting worms - each raised with care and purpose in our climate-controlled facility in Verona, Missouri. While they each have their specialty, they both work to produce castings that are rich, balanced, and full of life.
European Nightcrawlers (Eisenia hortensis)
Our powerhouse bait worms - European Nightcrawlers are larger, more muscular worms that make excellent live bait for catfish, bass, and other lake fish. They are active, hardy, and prized by anglers for their wiggle and durability on the hook.
But they’re more than just great bait - Euros are also efficient composters, producing castings that are dense in beneficial microbes and nutrients. Their larger size means they process more material, adding structure and aeration to our castings. Raised on a premium bedding blend and consistent feeding regimen, our Nightcrawlers live in ideal conditions that keep them healthy, productive, and clean - both for fishing and producing castings.
Red Wigglers (Eisenia andrei)
The composting champions—Red Wigglers are smaller, surface-dwelling worms known for their voracious appetite and ability to break down organic matter quickly. They thrive in shallow bins and are the gold standard for indoor vermicomposting.
What makes them special? Their castings are fine, fluffy, and microbially rich - ideal for boosting plant growth and building soil life. Red Wigglers add a soft, biologically active texture to our finished worm castings.
We raise them in specially managed composting beds, feeding them a clean, balanced organic diet to ensure high-quality castings without contaminants or odors.
Two Worm Species, One Perfect Casting Product
Together, these two species produce a synergistic blend of nutrient dense worm castings - rich and microbe-dense from the Euros and the Red Wigglers. Every batch is mixed, screened, and packaged fresh to ensure you get the best in every handful.
Healthy worms = healthy soil = thriving plants. That’s the WiggleWorks way.
